Valuers Registration Scheme - January 2011 As part of its commitment to continually raising the standards its members work to, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has launched a monitoring scheme aimed at members undertaking work for both private and corporate Clients. The intention of the scheme, known as the Valuer Registration Scheme (VRS), is to ensure that the highest qualified professionals carry out valuations and to maintain an adequate level of public protection by instilling confidence in those who request the services of an RICS Valuer. The scheme commenced in October 2010 and will be mandatory in the UK from 30th April 2011. I am pleased to announce that both myself and my colleague Peter Lyles, FRICS, have successfully met the criteria of the RICS and can use the designation "RICS Registered Valuer" Introducing Peter Lyles, FRICS - May 2010 Peter Lyles, FRICS, has joined Martin Jung & Co as Senior Surveyor. Peter brings a wealth of residential surveying experience to the Company. Peter has extensive experience in the Cambridge, Newmarket, Haverhill and Saffron Walden areas. Peter is also a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor and will be responsible for the production of all Energy Performance Certificates.
